So, I talked to the temp agency. I didn't sign anything or give them my full SSN, but I did let them do a drug test.

I'm kind of conflicted, to be honest. Signing on would mean income and something to fill an employment gap. However, for the position I've applied for, I wouldn't have the flexibility in the first 90 days to pursue any potential interview or job openings in my preferred field. And in the end, there's no guarantee that I'll get the position at the end of the contract, either.

I wish I had someone I could ask for advice. I can't really ask family, because they'll tell me to just take the job and suck it up for three months. Maybe they'd be right... it's not like libraries are hiring left and right around here, and even when I do apply, I get more rejections than interviews. And then when I do get the interview, I still don't get the job. Maybe three months won't make a difference? I don't know....
