The more I think about this temp agency I have an interview with, the more uneasy I feel about it. For the interview, they want me to provide a voided check and my social security card. I haven't even agreed to working with them, and they haven't even offered me a job, but they're expecting me to just hand over sensitive personal information. Plus, a drug test (I have nothing to hide, but it's still an awfully personal thing to demand for a mere interview). This doesn't seem like the actions of a legit, reputable company.

I looked up the company reviews online, but I honestly don't feel like I can trust those. Depending on where you go, there are a lot of either 1-star or 5-star reviews, and the 3-star reviews don't give pros or cons.

Ultimately, I think I'll just go talk to them because I agreed to. But I'm definitely not comfortable with handing over these documents.
